A slower start to your morning

A calm morning is less about waking up early and more about giving yourself a few minutes of space.

The first hour of the day often fills itself before we notice. Messages arrive, plans change, and breakfast becomes something to finish on the way out. A small routine can make that hour feel a little more yours.

Begin with one quiet thing

Open a window, make a warm drink, or sit at the table for a few minutes. Choose something simple enough that you can do it even on a busy day. The point is not to accomplish more; it is to make room to arrive.

Prepare the easy parts

Set out tomorrow's mug, leave a book by your chair, or put your keys where you will find them. Tiny preparations remove the friction that turns ordinary mornings into hurried ones.

Keep it flexible

Some days will be noisy. A routine should support your day rather than become another rule to follow. Start small, adjust often, and enjoy the moments that work.
