Choose one use

A reading chair, a small work surface, or a place to water plants can give an overlooked area a reason to exist. Resist the urge to make it do everything at once.

Leave a little breathing room

Open floor space is part of the design. Keep the corner easy to approach and comfortable to maintain, so you will actually use it.
